Twyford Neighbourhood Plan stall at the Graze music festival hosted on Humphrey's Farm in 2015

YOUR VIEWS - HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Say hello to us – or send us an email to twyfordneighbourhoodplan@gmail.com

Although a Draft Neighbourhood Plan has been prepared with input from the community, it is very important that the Plan continues to be driven and owned by the Twyford community as a whole.

The Twyford Parish Council continues to need your thoughts on the plan as it develops, so please do get in touch with us via the contact form, Facebook or send us an e-mail.

Stay up to date

Every time a change or addition is made to the website, an email will be sent to all those registered on the Twyford Information System (TIS), providing details of the changes.  If you are not already on the TIS follow the link HERE

You can also stay up to date by following us on Facebook

Comments on 1st Draft of Twyford Neighbourhood Plan (TNP)

The 1st Draft of the TNP was published in September 2016.  Comments on the plan were requested through a questionnaire which was prepared and collated by Action Hampshire.  A summary of  numbers/percentages of people who agreed with each of the Draft Policies can be found HERE.  A detailed schedule of comments and responses can be found HERE.

Comments on the Pre-Submission Draft TNP

The Pre-Submission Draft of the Neighbourhood Plan was formally published in January 2020 and views of the Plan sought over a 6 week period between 6th January and 24th February 2020.  A leaflet was posted in advance of these dates to each household in the village and other interested parties letting people know about the Plan and how to comment on it.  Information was also sent out via TIS and the Parish Magazine.

A full exhibition of the Plan and supporting documents was set up at the Twyford Social Club on 23rd January and 1st February with Parish Council representatives present for advice.

For those unable to attend the exhibition, the Draft Plan and a downloadable comments form was provided on the website.  See form HERE

140 people visited the exhibition and over 480 separate individuals viewed the Plan and supporting documentation via the website.  47 organisations and individuals submitted comments. A schedule of the comments and Twyford Parish Council (TPC) responses has been prepared.  This is a substantial document comprising over one hundred pages,

The Comments and responses by TPC can be viewed by clicking on the links below:-

Following review of the comments an amended version of the Plan (also one marked up to show changes) was submitted, together with your comments and Parish Council responses, to South Downs National Park Authority for further review by an Independent Examiner.

Public Consultation Statement

A summary of consultations undertaken over the whole period of TNP development was produced.  It can be viewed HERE.  This summarises all the consultations described above plus those with businesses and land owners. It also describes the main issues raised during these consultations.  It was one of the documents available for the public to comment on through the SDNPA statutory public consultation process which took place between 28th January and 25th March 2021 (see HERE for details).
